New equity ETFs from iShares on Xetra: access to climate-friendly companies in Europe and the eurozone

Since Thursday, four new exchange-traded funds from iShares have been tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt.

The iShares MSCI Europe Climate Transition Aware UCITS ETF and the iShares MSCI EMU Climate Transition Aware UCITS ETF invest in companies based in Europe or the EU that are driving the transition to a low-carbon economy.

The MSCI Europe and MSCI EMU serve as parent index, which in a first step filter out companies based on ESG exclusion criteria. The remaining companies must meet at least one approved target of the Science Based Targets initiative to actively reduce CO2 emissions, generate green revenue or fall below a certain threshold in terms of greenhouse gas intensity.

Investors can choose between an accumulating and a distributing share class for both ETFs.
