以全面清算会员（GCM）或直接清算会员（DCM）的身份可以直接参与清算流程，当作为GCM或DCM参与时需要被授予适当的许可，为此必须满足特定的要求。
欧洲期货交易所清算公司（Eurex Clearing AG）的交易对手只能为GCM 或 DCM，GCM可以清算自己的交易，也可以对其客户以及缺乏清算资格资格的交易所会员（DC 市场参与者）进行清算。而DCM有权清算自己的交易以及其100 ％关联公司交易所参与者的交易。
公司可以申请一个或多个清算资格：
位于欧盟或瑞士境内被授权从事托管业务，信贷业务及以证券和现金形式向客户收取保证金的金融机构，可以向欧洲期货交易所清算公司申请清算会员资格。
清算会员必须满足欧洲期货交易所清算公司的最低资本要求，并向清算基金做出贡献。清算会员需要有合适的清算及结算账户和充足的后台支持。
